For this medieval-themed game, Zynga asked for something “fantasy, but heavy and bold.”

To discover the right balance, I drew several versions of each letter, from simple and straight to curvy and ornate.

The Zynga folks liked them all, so I constructed a simpler upper & lowercase Text family, along with a fancier, small caps Display family.
